Purchase Seventh Grave and No Body HERE
5 STARS!!!!
Seventh Grave picks up right where the previous book leaves off. Charley is preggo with baby girl aka: Beep who is destined to defeat Reyes father in the big final showdown. Needless to say gramps is not pleased and has sent the Twelve to kill Charley and Beep. Even though she's being hunted, Charley is still running around trying to solve cases and look for her missing dad while also being harassed by her deceased ex bff, Jessica. Annnd... to make all this craptastic hellhound danger worse, she decides to give up drinking coffee because the caffeine is bad for Beep. Yes, you heard me, CHARLEY DAVIDSON IS GIVING UP COFFEE. The horror! Needless to say it does not go well, lol, and I cringed alongside of her as she went through the horrendous withdrawal symptoms. Reyes is his usual smexilicious, panty melting self and I just adore how fiercely he loves Charley. They are both keeping secrets from each other which makes for some conflict as they adjust to the idea of being parents and deal with the threat from the twelve.
Charley learns more about her powers that she wields (mostly) from the Dealer that we met in the previous book and we also learn a little more about Mr. Wong. The Dealer is one of my new favorite characters and he plays a big part of the book, I am very much looking forward to seeing more of him. Cookie freaking rocks!! She is the best best friend ever and I just adore her and Ubie together.
The storyline was flawless and I was on a roller coaster ride with my emotions while reading, hilarious moments that had me cracking up one minute, then some super sweet moments as well as a heartbreaking death that I was totally not expecting. So far we've just dealt with Hell and demons but we get a sneak peak of the inhabitants of Heaven and they are not too happy with what Charley has been up to lately. I'm so excited to see what comes next that I'm going to be on pins and needles waiting for Eighth Grave After Dark to come out!! So go, grab your copy as soon as possible! For a fast paced read with a kick ass heroine and a scrumptiously sexy hero, I totally recommend reading Seventh Grave!
