My Review - ☆☆☆☆ 

 I still love the whole premise of this series even though I really started to dislike the heroine, Samantha. I loved her in Buck Naked and I loved her in the first 1/2 of the this book but after awhile her stubbornness started wearing on my nerves. And I mean wearing on my nerves to the point that I wanted to punch her REPEATEDLY and then move in on Liam myself. And her insistence on calling him by his last name? Grrr....just stop, Samantha. Just STOP.

Liam on the other hand? Well, I utterly fell in love with him which seriously shocked the crap out of me because at the end of Buck Naked I was not feeling him as the hero in the next book. He was the epitome of alpha yumminess. Possessive, protective and determined to win over his mate. Love this guy!!

There is a lot of action and drama going on in this book and even though I think Samantha deserved to be boob punched for the way she treated Liam I still really enjoyed the story. I ended up warming back up to her by the end of the book and while it's not my favorite of the two books I am eagerly awaiting the next one in the series!

Awesome. Just freaking awesome! Kylie Scott writes the most down to earth, cool as hell characters EVER. I seriously want to hang out with these people! Alex is my soul sister. She's a geeky, crowd hating introvert that I want to be my new best friend.. Joe is... well, Joe is just *RAWR* Yes, he's hot AF, will do anything for his friends and family but he's not perfect. 

Alex braves the horrible, people infested outside world to track down her email buddy Eric (Joe) after he stopped responding to her messages. She quickly finds out that  Eric is not the person that she has been talking to all these months. Ack, I was cringing in sympathy for Alex as she slowly realized that the man that she's clinging to has no clue who she is. Joe can't believe that Alex is in Couer d'Alene. He knew that he should have told her that he wasn't Eric during one of their many chats but she's here now and he's determined to make it up to her. 

Engaging storyline, Twist had me hooked from page one! I loved how Joe and Alex challenged each other to step outside their comfort zone when dealing with other people. But for all the sweet moments in this book there is one tragic one that had me in tears not knowing how the ending was going to pan out. Oh, I knew there was going to be a HEA but I honestly wasn't sure how much of one it would be but Kylie handled it beautifully. Curious now? Yeah, you should be because this book was fantastic! Great addition to the Dive Bar series. Can't wait for Eric's story.

Okay I freaking loved this book! Totally unique storyline and I love, love, love having a 40 year old heroine! There are plenty of curvy BBW heroines but what about us middle age gals? We need some loving too! Well have no fear ladies, Evangeline Anderson has our backs with this series. The idea of a dormant shifter gene that kicks when a woman hits late 30's to early 40's ONLY if they aren't already in an established relationship (no leaving significant others or children) is absolutely fascinating. To have your body change back into how it was in your 20's? Wow! Who wouldn't love to have that happen? But, all those changes come with a price. A rejuvenated (aka Juvie) woman needs to find an alpha to mate with before the next full moon or she will die. Sadie can't believe the changes that her body is going through nor can she understand the over the top reactions the men in Cougarville are having to her.

Mathis broke my heart. He lost his mate 10 years before and because of what kind of shifter he is, he believes that he can never form a mate bond with another woman ever again. But because he is an Alpha he can restrain his impulses around Sadie, just barely so he takes her under his protection to try to save her from the unwanted advances of the other shifters in town. He is drawn to Sadie and the more time that he spends with her the stronger his feelings become for her. Let me tell you, these two struggled hard for their HEA. Sadie, because she had no clue what was going on and Mathis because his animal is only able to mate once in their lifetime. 

I loved the whole premise of the story, the world building was fantastic, the characters were well rounded and engaging. The romance was sweet and sexy and I loved the fact that the author used prehistoric animals for her shifters. Great start to a intriguing series! I can't wait for the next book in the series!

My Review - ☆☆☆☆☆

I am a huge Beauty and the Beast fan, and I mean, HUGE fan. I will devour any book that is even remotely tied into the theme. There is something about the redemption of the Beast that just melts my tiny black heart and this book is one of the best retellings that I have ever read. It is utterly phenomenal! I love the twist that the author spins on the story with the curse and mirror but I will warn you that this story is a heartbreaker. And I mean rip your heart out, stomp on it, let it heal up a bit and then throw it back on the ground and stomp on it again, heartbreaking. I don't think I've had as many ugly cries in one book as I have had in this one. BUT for all of the ugly cries there is an equal amount of happy ones so don't let it detour you from reading it. It has a beautifully sweet ending that makes up for all of the painful things that the characters go through to get to their HEA. Also, not to go into anymore detail and ruin the awesomeness of the book but I will say that when sexual tension finally peaks with Ruby and Lincoln? Yeah, just make sure that you have a big glass of wine (or a straight shot of whiskey) and a fan to cool yourself off because, damn... Ditter Kellen knows how to write some serious smexiness! I'm pretty sure my cheeks were fire engine red and my kindle was smoking at one point. LOL As a matter of fact I may have had to go back and reread that scene just in case I missed something the first four or five times that I read it *wink wink* 

If you are a fan of romance, adult fairy tales, PNR, Beauty and the Beast, or any kind of love story period, then Ruby and the Beast is going to be an absolute must read for you! Two thumbs up, five+ stars, shout from the rooftops, fantastic book!

Oh the feels in this book! 💜 I think this is my favorite Katie Reus book to date! Second chance romances tend to be hit or miss for me. And while I enjoy angst in my romances, the second chance ones tend to be too much for my taste. Fortunately, Saved By Darkness had the perfect blend of angst vs sweetness. Ian knew Fiona was his mate from the beginning but for a (no spoilers) heartbreaking reason they were forced to part ways.

Years later circumstances bring them back into each others lives. Ian is determined to never be parted from his mate again and as they work together in the Hell realm, Fiona reveals why she walked away all those years ago. I don't want to go into anymore detail other than to tell you that this book is freaking awesome! Katie has the ability to describe the worlds in her books in such detail it's almost like you are there! Action, suspense, angst and the sweetest second chance romance that I have ever read, I highly recommend Saved By Darkness.

OH HOLY HELL! How? Seriously, how does she do it? I am just absolutely floored that each book in this series is exponentially better than the last one! I have been a die hard fan of The Enigma series since day one and I can say without a doubt that Braum has blown the others out of the water! And that is saying a lot because I have adored every book so far. Even though this may be book seven, the series shows no signs of slowing down. The Incola virus has mutated, people are dying by the minute and the evil ex-president is still on the loose. This book is a little different than the others in that there is not a lot of bang, boom explosion action in the first half but it more than makes up for it in the angst and feels department. The build up to the second half is what makes the action when it does come, and man does it come, ten times more intense because you are so invested in what happens between Braum and Josie. I basically spent the second half of the book gasping out loud one minute and then teary-eyed the next while yelling out things like "WHOA" "WOW" "HOLY CRAP" "NO WAY" and "OH MY GOD". 

I really need the whole world to read this series so that everyone can fall in love with it as much as I have. I also need this series to be made into many, MANY movies. Not a TV series, but movies because I need the full 2 plus hours per book devoted to all the smexy action that Ditter has brought to life in this amazing series of hers. So scifi lovers, pnr lovers, action lovers, angst lovers and uber hot hero lovers unite and do yourself a favor by diving into The Enigma series.

My Review - ☆☆☆☆

Another great addition to the Kindred series! One thing that I especially liked seeing in this book is that both characters are a little older. Not the usual 20's to early 30's age group that you mostly see these days. Terex and Elaina both share a deep attraction to each other but Elaina tries to bury it because she is desperate to find a cure for her terminal sister. Terex's mate has been dead for over ten years but because of their "forbidden desires" combined with his actions while possessed by a demon he feels that he doesn't deserve another mate. As a matter of fact he plans on hunting down the remaining Dark Kindred and destroying him to atone for his actions. He is hoping that by doing that he will die in battle with honor and the Goddesses forgiveness.

The Priestess calls both Terex and Elaina and tells them that they both must travel across the galaxy to find both the Dark Kindred and a cure for Elaina's sister. Neither is overly thrilled with the news that they must travel together to succeed. Elaina is willing to do whatever it takes to help her sister but she's worried about leaving her for so long and Terex was hoping that this would be a one way trip.  

The planet that they are sent to is based on a completely misogynist rule. Women are basically slaves and treated like brainless sex dolls. I really, REALLY wanted to see Elaina or one of his slaves punch the Emperor in the mouth! Because of the screwed up laws Terex and Elaina were forced to play the Master/Slave roll while they searched for the two items the Priestess told them they needed. Terex and Elaina are put into several compromising positions that make it impossible to ignore their attraction to each other. I won't do a whole detailed break down on everything else that happens other than there is going to be some light BDSM, a terminal illness, a poisoning and an evil political plot exposed. 

Despite the teeth grinding irritation at how women are treated I still really enjoyed the story. There was plenty of action, angst and smexiness to keep me engaged through the entire book and I can't wait to see what happens with this new group of bad guys coming for the Kindred!

Forever Mated is book 4 in Alma Black's Shifter Date series and although it can be read as a stand alone, I urge you to read the previous books because there is a continuous storyline that is flowing through each one plus they are all awesome reads!

Kyra works for Max at Shifter Date and she is very good at what she does. She takes great pride in her work but not so much in her love life. She is secretly in love with Zac who happens to be Max's business partner but she feels out of her element around him. He's gorgeous, confident and filthy rich and after the fiasco of her last crush, Kyra is doubting herself. She doesn't want to make a fool of herself again with an unrequited attraction so she tries to keep her feelings for Zac to herself. Little does she know but Zac wants Kyra and he plans to have her. 

I loved the spin on this story with hero being human and the heroine the shifter. Have no worries about Zac, despite being human he is more than enough Alpha to take on a lioness. However, his pursuit of Kyra is going on at the same time as some serious family issues which cause Kyra to have some misunderstandings of Zac's intentions.

Forever Mated is another quick, steamy and very engaging read. I love the characters, the romance and all the smexiness in every book that I've read in this series so far. I also find myself becoming more and more invested in the storyline with each book, I want to know who is behind Power Shift and how they can be taken down for good! Can't wait for the next one!

My Review - ☆☆☆☆☆

First off, let me get my uncontrolled fan girl squealing out of the way. SQUEEEEEEEEEE!!! Now that has been taken care of lets get to the awesomeness of this book. OMG I FREAKING LOVED this one so hard! Not just because it's about my favorite selkie, Edan (mine, mine, mine!) and my namesake *giggles* but because it was a phenomenally written book.

Selkie's Lure is book 3 in Rosanna's Orkney Selkies series and it is quite darker than the previous two. With the introduction of Sirens, Water Horses and Fairies, Rosanna has amped up the intensity and I loved the fact that I was kept on my toes by Amy and Edan. I never could anticipate what was going to happen next between these two and found myself unable to put my kindle down.

Another thing that I loved was the fact that the roles were reversed when it came to the H/h. Normally, the hero is the one that needs the heroine to balance out the darkness in him but in this case it was Edan that was the light to Amy's darkness. Because of the "gift" that she was born with and her treatment at the hands of her parents, she has put up a wall around her heart. That wall can't hide a deep seated desire for love and acceptance though. However, her insecurity in no means detracts from her inner strength and she is a fierce warrior when it comes to protecting the ones that she loves.

Edan is confused by his draw to Amy, she infuriates and yet intrigues him at the same time. He knows that she is a danger to his kind and yet he is also protective of her at the same time. Since she won't stop looking for the Sirens he decides to work with her so that he can keep her safe while still keeping her at arms length. But when he realizes that she is his mate, oh boy, all bets are off! I just adore how Selkies are totally committed to their mates. They are deliciously possessive and protective and will do anything in their power to make their mates happy. Edan has quite the naughty streak in him and let me tell you, make sure that you have a cool drink close because WOW... that Selkie, all that beautiful, long, ginger hair and the things that he does... *fans face*

My Review ☆☆☆☆☆

Yes, yes, YES! This book was phenomenal. We met Aquos in the previous book and I instantly fell in love with him, My heart hurt for him and I was so happy to hear that he was getting his HEA next. The Lords are dying, Sally has slowed the progression with some of them but Aquos is going downhill quicker than the others. MJ was introduced to the Omegas via kidnapping. The Speed clan seems to have a preference for this method to bring women home. LOL The minute Aquos sees MJ he instantly bonds to her and even though he is on death's door he wants nothing more than to care for her every need and defend her to the end. *SIGHS* Seriously love this guy! 😍

MJ is a nurturer, she's an artist, has incredible inner strength and is sassy with a capital S. I loved these two together as a couple. They balanced each other perfectly, their intense chemistry rivals that of the dragons and for being a water Lord, Aquos is seriously HOT, HOT, HOT! 

This story will keep you on the edge of your seat from page one. It has a complex and rich storyline with cast of intriguing characters, add in a sweet romance, nonstop action and a vile enemy determined to destroy the Omegas and you will not be able to put this book down! Fantastic addition to an exciting new series!

Ahhhhh!!! I freaking loved this book! And FYI Gareth is my new book boyfriend so back off ladies! 

Gareth is a bear shifter and can I just take a minute to say, uhhh.... YUMMM! Holy hell this dude is HAWT. 💗 This sexy bear shifter is more than ready to find a mate but so far he hasn't found anyone that calls to his bear. Forced to try his luck on this new shifter dating app that he's been hearing about he reluctantly signs up. He is shocked when comes across Rachel's photo on the app and his bear immediately knows that she is his mate. 

Rachel is not looking for forever, she's was burned by her last relationship and not willing to risk her heart again so she's just looking for a bootycall. I loved this angle! It's always the women looking for the relationship and the guys looking for the hookups. You never see it the other way around and I loved, loved, LOVED seeing the hero be the one pursuing the heroine for a commitment.

Jasmine and Luke have been in love with each other for a long time but since Luke is best friends with Jasmine's brother, Theo, they kept their feelings to themselves. But after a match on their friend Max's new dating app and Theo out of town, Luke decides that he can't fight his feelings or his wolf any longer. He wants Jasmine as his mate and he's pretty sure that she feels the same about him.

Power Shift is still in the picture but they only make a quick appearance and the story focuses more on the buildup of romance between Luke and Jasmine. I loved seeing them find their way from friends to lovers to mates. My only tiny complaint with the story is that I feel like I missed out on Theo's story and I really hope that the author will give us a backstory on him someday.

Hungry as a Wolf was a sweet, sexy read and I am eagerly looking forward to the next book in the series.

Okay, this book was adorable. I loved the premise of the book, I loved the characters and I loved the romance. Alexis is a human blogger that is reluctantly interviewing Max about his new shifter dating app. She's against the idea of shifters and humans dating and I found the idea of her being a bit of a speciest refreshing. You don't usually see that angle from an author unless they are the bad guy and I was curious as to how Ms Black would handle it. Max on the other hand is a true romantic and believes in love which is why he created his dating app. To him, it doesn't matter if you are shifter or human and when Max meets Alexis he's determined to have her for his own, but first he has to get past her issues with shifters.

The more time that Alexis spends with Max the more she realizes that she may be wrong about shifters and humans having relationships. Max is charming, sweet and drop dead sexy. He can't be that bad after all, right?

Alexis isn't the only one out there that has problems with shifters and humans co-mingling, there is a rogue shifter group that will stop at nothing to keep the species apart starting with Alexis. This is where you get to see Max in all of his nummy alpha-ness. Nobody threatens his mate! Max is so deliciously protective, sexy, funny, sexy, sweet, sexy, see where I'm going with this?

Witty banter, a swoon worthy alpha and one sassy human make for a thoroughly enjoyable read for anyone who is a fan of PNR. I will definitely be keeping this author on my radar!

My Review - ★★★★

Well, I am very glad that this book was brought to my attention by a friend. The Last Dragon was a mix of PNR, Fantasy and a wee bit of sci-fi thrown in which makes it a trifecta of awesome for me! Now I will say that since it is the first book in the series set in a pretty complex world it does take a bit to get into at first. I struggled with it in the beginning and found myself putting it down a time or two. I liked the premise of the book but there is a lot of info to take in and it did jump around a bit at times however, I really wanted to read this story so I stuck with it and I am so freaking glad that I did. It quickly smoothed out and really started rolling at around the 20% mark and let me tell you, from that point on, I. Was. HOOKED. This has everything that I want in a great read, action, adventure, romance and intrigue. There are Shifters, Elementals, Angels, and a whole bunch of other characters that I'm not exactly sure how to define, but I really want to know more about!! 

The chemistry between Drake and Sally is a real scorcher but was balanced perfectly by Drake's sweetness and gentleness towards Sally. She has some serious self confidence issues thanks to her horrible family. She first meets Drake when she is abducted by two of his "brothers" in a desperate attempt to save his life. Drake knows that she is his from the first moment he lays eyes on her (I adore how he calls her Sally-mine) but Sally can't understand how a drop dead gorgeous man like Drake would ever look twice at her. Despite her fears, Drake plans on keeping her no matter what and he is bound and determined to show her that she really is the beautiful and desirable woman that he sees. 

A vague prophecy to decipher, several murder attempts and a missing brother ramps up the intensity of the book to the point that you won't be able to put it down! After an epic ending which sets up the threads for the next character's story, I now find myself not so patiently waiting to see what Artemis has planned next for the Omegas.

My Review - 4 Stars!

This is book three in Evangeline Anderson's Alien Mate Index series and features Charlotte. I will admit that I was a bit worried about this one. The Marjoran worship females as Goddesses and when I say worship, I mean they WORSHIP their females. They are wonderfully submissive to them and while I found this to be a refreshing change from the usual caveman behavior in other books, I was also worried that Kristoff would be too submissive. I mean who wants a weak willed mate? But I'm happy to say that Evangeline handled the relationship between Kristoff and Charlotte beautifully! He may worship her but he is no spineless wimp. He still had more than enough alpha-ness to make my heart go pitter pat. 

Now what I didn't care for in the book was how rigid the rules were for the Empress. No choosing your own consort, being forced to go to the Royal House of Goddess Pleasures, etc. It seemed like for being considered the Empress of the entire galaxy she wasn't allowed to make a single decision for herself. It was seriously ticking me off at times and I just wanted Charlotte to scream "ENOUGH" and tell all of the councilors to piss off! 

All in all, I enjoyed the story despite my frustration over the way Charlotte was treated. Count Doloroso is still running amok so there is lots of danger and intrigue as well as witty and hilarious (I ADORE Zoe, lol) dialogue. Another great addition to the AMI series!
