I'm usually a PNR type of girl but I have to say that I am really loving Katie Reus's romantic suspense books! Taylor is a tough, computer hacking heroine who witnesses the murder of her mentor and boss. She narrowly escapes with her life and flees to her friend Vadim's house. But Vadim is not home and his yummy, ex marine friend, Roman has discovered Taylor passed out from blood loss and exhaustion in the guest bathroom. After confirming her identity with Vadim, Roman takes over Taylor's protection as a favor to his friend but he is really attracted to Taylor. Since he isn't looking for a relationship he convinces himself that he's just helping out. Taylor is just as drawn to Roman as he is to her but doesn't feel that the timing is appropriate. But they are unable to resist each other.
Even though this was a fast read it did not detract from the storyline, the characters were still well fleshed out and the plot was fast paced and smooth. I really enjoyed it and plan on going back to read the first three in the series. I also look forward to reading Logan's story (please let there be a story for Logan). Lots of suspense, a sexy, dominating Marine (rawr) and plenty of romance to keep this girl sighing in happiness. I highly recommend Dangerous Surrender!
