My Review - 4 Stars!
Bleu, Bleu, BLEU! He's finally here! I have been pining for his story since first meeting him in Possessed by a Dark Prince (Eternal Mates #1). It is safe to say that I had extremely high hopes for Bleu's story, I totally expected it to knock my socks (or panties?) off. And Possessed by the Dark Warrior did. Why 4 stars instead of 5 you ask? I'll tell you in a minute. First off the good, Bleu was 100% pure alpha hotness! Everything that I wanted and then some. He was possessive, protective, aggressive and absolute sexilicious (LOVED all of his naughty growling) perfection. But Bleu broke my heart, all through the series he comes off as an aloof, arrogant jerk who hooks up with random one night stands whenever he's feeling a bit frisky. But what we really find out is that Bleu is lonely. He wants a mate, someone who loves him and would always be by his side. He has watched the people closest to him find their mates one by one and as the loneliness overwhelms him he buries himself in his duty to his Prince. Bleu doesn't understand his pull to Taryn and he pulls the usual alpha denial crap when it came to admitting what she truly is to him. But when it finally sinks into his stubborn head he embraces her wholeheartedly and is unbelievably gentle and sweet with Taryn. What I didn't care for, and here is why I docked a star, is how he didn't want to admit who Taryn was to everyone. He kept it hidden for awhile even though it was obvious to everyone around him that she was his mate. I just don't see Bleu keeping something like that quiet. Especially when it's something that he's always longed for. Other than that I loved how the whole story progressed.
Taryn was an amazing heroine. Despite suffering from PTSD caused by the horrible abuse that she endured during her imprisonment, she has incredible inner strength. Instead of running away from her problems she knows that she must stop her evil twin brother from slaughtering thousands in his bid to take over Hell. She is strong, more so than Bleu which is something I adored because we don't often get to see a heroine who could easily overpower the hero. She was smart and sassy, and a perfect match for Bleu.
Tons of action, adventure and some blistering hot chemistry make for an amazing story. I highly recommend you grab a copy asap!
