5 STARS!
Don't Blackmail the Vampire is book two in the Son's of Kane series however you don't have to read the first one (although I urge you not to miss out on the awesomeness of Don't Bite the Bridesmaid) to understand what's going on.

Rachel hates her sister's fiance Brent. He is an arrogant, cheating prig (who also happens to be the ex of the heroine from book one) and she wants nothing more than to break them up.
Brent is trying to smooze the hero Charles for a high paying job that he thinks Charles may offer him. Little does he know, Charles has an another reason for going on the skiing trip and it has nothing to do with giving Brent a job. He's there trying to figure out who is sending his brother Noah's (from book one) fiance Alice threatening messages. And Brent just happens to be Charles's prime suspect.
Rachel accidentally stumbles upon Charles feeding on another woman after dinner and decides to blackmail him into helping her break Kristen and Brent up. Charles agrees because not only does it go along with his plans but he's intrigued with Rachel. She's the first person that he's ever come across that can resist vampire mind control, well that and it doesn't hurt that he's attracted to her.
As the two put their plans into motion they are forced to spend time with each as a couple. Charles and Rachel dance around their attraction with each other. Neither are looking for a relationship but the more time they spend together the harder it is to resist. Rachel has severe trust issues with men and is afraid to let anyone get close. Charles doesn't want to form any attachments, he has avoided letting anyone close to him with the exception of his brothers.
I loved Charles! He was sweet, funny and sexy all rolled up into one delicious vampire. He was working so hard to prove to Noah that he could be relied on and so he tried to ignore his attraction to Rachel. But her pull was just too much for him. And when they finally gave in to each other.... WOW. It was amazing!
Rachel got to me. She was a quiet, stubborn, nerdy type of girl (which I can relate to) but she has trust issues that you wouldn't believe. I could understand them on one hand but on the other hand I just wanted to knock some sense into her! I mean c'mon girl! Are you really going to let that smexy vampire slip through your fingers over some daddy issues??? And let me tell you I was worried there for awhile.
This was a really fast read that had me experiencing a range of emotions. I found myself giggling, nervous, sniffling, frustrated and sighing happily. I couldn't believe that I finished it in one setting! So if you are looking for a light, sweet and sexy PNR then Don't Blackmail the Vampire is the book for you!
