Jani recently liberated Fleur from a vicious cult of shape shifters, where she was brainwashed by the sadistic August Crane. Labeled a “bad girl” all her life, Fleur knows she’ll never fit in with the good guys at the Ursa, no matter how much Jani tries to convince her of their regard. Besides, she can’t stay with Jani. Although he’s the closest thing she’s ever had to a friend, their chemistry is explosive in the worst way.
When a new menace arises, in the form of a vicious drug dealer with a grudge, Jani is adamant Fleur accept his help to rehabilitate her addict mother and remove her from the influence of her dealer. Fleur accepts Jani’s assistance but as they work together, friendship erupts into passion. Neither can deny their lust-struck spirit animals and before long, they realize their connection runs deeper than they ever expected.
Despite the threats posed by the drug dealer, the worst danger of all dwells inside Fleur. Haunted by the spirit of August Crane, Fleur is inundated by visions that torment her. She is consumed by guilt and plagued by old hostilities. Can this bad girl make good? And is Jani’s love enough to save her from her demons?

My Review - 5 Stars!
Fan-freaking-tastic story! I can't express how much I adore the Gemini Island series, they just keep getting better and better! I swear, Rosanna is the master of creating absolute drop dead sexy alpha shifters and out of all of her PNR series I have to say that Jani just might be my favorite (*whispers* don't tell Edan) and let me tell you that is saying A LOT because I am pretty much "book married" to one of her selkies. :-)
Jani for all his possessive and protective alpha traits still manages to be unbelievably gentle and sweet to Fleur. He just seems to know exactly what to say to her at just the right time, well most of the time at least, he is an Alpha so you know he's gonna be a bit thick-headed sometimes. Knowing the abuse that Fleur has endured both physically and mentally, Jani never her pushed her too far or too fast and I loved seeing Fleur grow into the strong, confident and beautiful (both inside and out) woman that Jani always saw her as.
For as much as Fleur broke my heart I equally admired her tenacity and strength of will. Despite the years of abuse from both her father and August Crane she never gave in to the lure of drugs or alcohol that most people would to forget their pain. And now that she has a new life, Fleur plans on rescuing her mother from the grip of the local drug dealer. Needless to say Jani has no plans on letting her go alone and agrees to help her find her mother on the condition that she stays with him in his cabin. Fleur can't understand why Jani wants to stay around someone like her and Jani won't admit why Fleur means so much to him (See? Thick-headed alpha trait showing).
As usual, I loved seeing the couples from the previous books and I am especially anxious to see what happens with Barbi and Luke (OMG I can't stop laughing at what she calls him when they first meet) and I especially hope Elaine gets some kind of HEA! She had me in tears almost as much as Fleur did!
Lots of action, surprises, some hilarious LOL moments and one sexy as hell, dominating tiger shifter, Predator's Rescue is a definite must read!!!
