Crossing Hudson by Mandy M. Roth

Beware of slayers in sheep’s clothing.

In this world of magik, mishap, demons, gods, and pleasure nymphs, anything is possible. Hudson, werewolf, guardian and head general for the king of the lycans has thought his true mate long dead. He thought wrong. Now The Powers That Be have placed her right before him. All he has to do is protect her long enough to claim her--that is, if she'll let him.

My Review - 5 STARS!!

Crossing Hudson is the second book in The Guardians series and can easily be read as a stand alone (but don't deprive yourself of the awesomeness of the first book). This was an action packed, emotion filled roller coaster ride from beginning to end! Maryann lived a very sheltered life until the death of someone dear to her changed her. She went from meek and shy to total bad ass guardian. Ryan devotes herself to training the young Guardians. But she is slowly dying, only her mate can save her but she believes he has forsaken her by marrying someone else.

Hudson is not a happy camper. He's been sent to "babysit" a fellow guardian named Ryan. He's shocked when he realizes that Ryan is a she and the sparks fly between them. The darkness has been beckoning to him for a long time and since the death of his mate it has become harder to resist but there is just something so familiar about Ryan....

There is a lot of stuff going on in Crossing Hudson that had me glued to my kindle from the moment I started reading. Interfering Powers that Be, demons, ghosts, snarky women, sexilicious alphas and an adorable little boy make for an absolutely fantastic addition to the series. I can't wait for the next one!

Author Bio

Mandy M. Roth grew up fascinated by creatures that go bump in the night. From the very beginning, she showed signs of creativity--writing, painting, telling scary stories that left her little brother afraid to come out from under his bed. Combining her creativity with her passion for the paranormal has left her banging on the keyboard into the wee hours of the night.

She's a self-proclaimed Goonie, loves 80s music and movies and wishes leg warmers would come back into fashion. She also thinks the movie The Breakfast Club should be mandatory viewing for... okay, everyone. When she's not dancing around her office to the sounds of the 80s or writing books she can be found designing book covers for NY publishers, small press and indie authors.
