When Darkness Ends is the final installment of Alexandra Ivy's phenomenal Guardians of Eternity series Aww... Say it ain't so! *sobs* I am seriously going to miss this series! It has always been one of my favorite go to PNR reads.
Wow. As usual my expectations were blown out of the water by Alexandra Ivy. She can write the most deliciously sexy alphas and her vampires are my absolute favorite! Cyn is a beserker vampire who was raised by faes since he was a foundling. Because of his knowledge of fae history, he and Fallon, a Chatri princess with a unique gift are enlisted by one of the oracles to investigate the potential threat that is trying to gain control of the Oracles for nefarious reasons. As Fallon and Cyn try to solve the mystery, Cyn realizes fairly quickly that Fallon is his mate. Fallon is reveling in the freedom from her homeland where she will be forced to wed another Chatri nobleman to strengthen her family's line. The chemistry between these two is explosive and I really loved Fallon's character, it was a perfect blend of innocence, strength, intellect and cleverness. Cyn was possessive, protective and sexy as hell. You know, basically the perfect alpha male. :)
When Darkness Ends is a perfect blend of humor, passion, action and danger. I loved seeing cameos of past characters and of course, Levet. It wouldn't be a Guardians of Eternity with my favorite gargolye!
This can be read as a standalone but I urge you to read the whole series so you may experience the awesomeness of Alexandra Ivy's smexy werewolves, vampires and demons.
