Okay, seriously... just WOW! I loved this book! It has everything that I look for and love in a PNR, sexy, possessive alpha hero, quirky heroine, action, humor and sizzling chemistry. Act of Mercy has all that and more! Duke is grouchy, aggressive and flat out hot with a capital H. Mercy is brilliant, but absentminded and hilarious. These two make for a hilarious combination, toss in Duke's super smexy teammates and an evil corporation hell bent on creating their own enhanced superhuman army and you have a fast paced action packed read.
Mercy works for the corporation and has recently discovered what their real agenda is. When she finds about the supernaturals that the corporation has imprisoned and tortured, she is horrified and determined to help free them. She befriends one of the prisoners named Jimmy, and he tells her how to get in touch with his former PSI Ops team to set up a rescue mission.
Duke and his teammates fly into France with the intention of rescuing Jimmy and capturing Mercy (they don't know that she is helping him) but what he is unaware of is that she is his mate. Needless to say, after he realizes who she is to him, he has no intention of allowing any harm come to her.
I really loved the interactions between Duke and his teammates, especially Striker (Oh my God I just LOVED him! LOL). I will definitely be looking for the next book in the series, Act of Surrender.
