I swear these books just keep better and better! I generally prefer to read PNR but Katie Reus is quickly converting me over to the romantic suspense genre with her Red Stone Security series! Quinn and Athena had been dating before he broke it off after things started getting intense between them. Basically he did the typical macho bachelor thing and panicked. He knew that Athena could be the "one" and he used her virginity as an excuse to bail. When he runs into her at a work get together he realizes how stupid he was and is determined to get her back no matter what. Athena is a bit wary of trusting Quinn (understandably) again but she can't deny the sizzling attraction between them. When an old enemy of Quinn's targets Athena he will do everything in his power to keep her safe.

I loved Quinn! Yes, he was stupid at running from her in the beginning but once he admitted to himself that she was the one he pulled out all the stops to get her back. He was sweet, sexy, possessive, protective and jealous as all get out when he thinks another man may steal Athena from him. Athena was funny, spunky and strong willed. She was the perfect compliment to Quinn and the chemistry between the two was smoking hot. The storyline has plenty of action and suspense with just the right amount of sexiness. I can't wait to see what comes next in the series!
