A View To Kill by Mandy M. Roth

3.5 STARS!

Sachin is a trained assassin and adviser to the King of the Accipitridae realm (bird shifters). He has made frequent trips to the human world to take lovers and during one trip he finds a young girl being attacked. He rescues her from the man that killed her mother and drops her off at the home for troubled teens where he knows she'll be safe. Over the years he stops in to check on Paige not realizing why he is so drawn to her. Unable to resist his attraction to her on the night of her birthday he unwittingly binds her to him after they have sex. In a moment of panic he leaves her and returns to his world. He is fights his feelings for Paige, refusing to believe that she could be his mate. A year goes by and Paige is heartbroken but determined to move on from Sachin. She is engaged to marry the local sheriff when Sachin returns. When he realizes that Paige has indeed moved on with her life it kicks in that she truly is his mate and his wife! Needless to say neither are able to resist the chemistry or their feelings for each other.

This was a quick, steamy read with moments of humor in them, especially at the end with the fainting spells. LOL. My only complaint is that I wish it were longer but I will definitely be continuing on with series.

*I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

BLURB:
A trained assassin…a man even the deadliest of warriors fear. To cross him is foolish. To steal his heart is pure madness.

Book two in King of Prey series.

Sachin, head advisor to the king of the Accipitridae realm, has been forced to put his trips to Earth on hold. He’s not been honest with himself or King Kabril about his need to visit the primitive planet. The king thinks him to be a womanizer, out to bed as many human females as possible.

In truth, a woman he should have been able to woo with little to no effort—his mate—has found someone else to fill that void in her life. She wasn’t supposed to be on Earth. She wasn’t supposed to be human. And she sure the hell wasn’t supposed to agree to marry another man while Sachin was away.

Sachin must make a choice, give up the one woman he knows to be his true mate and let her live in ignorant bliss of what walks among her people, or fight for what’s his, taking it at all costs. A trained assassin…a man even the deadliest of warriors fear. To cross him is foolish. To steal his heart is pure madness.
