King of Prey by Mandy M. Roth

Purchase King of Prey HERE

4 STARS!

What a fun read! I love the idea of bird shifters, it's a nice break from your typical werewolf, werebear (don't get me wrong, I still love them) stories. Kabril is the king of his people. And he is prophesied to find a human mate that will enable his people to have children again. Needless to say he is not thrilled with the idea of having a human mate, he believes them to be beneath him and that he will never be attracted to one. Oh how the mighty fall.....

Rayna is a wildlife photographer, she meets Kabril and his friend Sachin after selling her grandmother's house to them. Kabril is instantly drawn to her and I love how he is forced to woo her instead of just tossing her over his shoulder and carrying her back to his realm like he would prefer to do. I loved the the interactions between these two, Reyna is sassy and kind hearted and I loved how sweet and possessive Kabril was with her. She had him wrapped around her finger.

This was a quick, steamy and fun read with plenty of laugh out loud moments (chicken dinner, lololololol). I can't wait to dive into the next book!

* I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review
